Yesterday, I bought a bike! It is shiny and silver and I’m, uh, yet to ride it. Two friends went bike shpping with me, and after going to five shops and speaking to five different people, I ended up with a silver Avanti Discovery.
It was bought from a bike shop in Castle Hill, in Sydney’s north-west – The Hills Avanti Plus Cycle Specialist. Next weekend, the plan is to ride it for the first time, but it’s weather dependent at the moment. The rain is supposed to stop on Thursday.
In other exciting news, I’ve got three fundraising ideas I think I’ll do: trivia, with a great lady named Reta from Trivia Magic; an Amazing Race style race around Sydney that involves going to the beach, going to cafes, and going to bookshops; and a morning tea event at work that will also be about stroke awareness and healthy lifestyles.
