Fun tests

I’ve stopped taking hydrocortisone for about two months. I did a blood test for cortisol and the 24 hour urine free cortisol test last month, and the results are awesome. My AM cortisol level was 384nmol/L (range is 138-650), and the 24 UFC result was 95nmol/L (range is 70-430; when I did this test last year the level was 4200).

I also had a bone density scan, because when I did it last year with Cushing’s, it was showing that I was beginning to get pre-osteoperosis. No Cushing’s and a year of calcium and vitamin D supplements later, it’s mainly normal. I’m still on the supplements for another year, but at least I’m off prescription drugs. I have an appointment on Tuesday with another specialist for other problems, because apparently shit happening never ends. Cortisol is looking good, though!
