I accomplished the goal last year of cycling through Vietnam, and that was actually the first time in my entire life that I could pass for “fit”. I’ve since lost a lot of that fitness, and I’m attempting to get it back. Somewhere along the way I realised that fitness shouldn’t be something for one goal or one event, but for life.
This video is a bit cheesy, but I like it: We are stronger.
My current exercise regime is going to the gym about three or four times a week for a mixture of weights and cardio, and going for a walk/run about twice a week. I’m nowhere near as fit as I’d like to be, but I’ll get there. Once regular classes start back at the gym I’ll include spin, Pilates, yoga and pump classes. My rough goal is to become one of those people who when I see now I think, “Ugh, fit people.” My more specific goal is to run 8km by Mother’s Day and be able to do a full teaser in Pilates.
So we’ll see you at the mothers day classic 8 k race from the domain then Jenny
